COLOUR CODING
Colour coding I suggest is based on what I have been introduced to during my course in Montessori Centre International. However, you can use any colour coding that suits you as long as it is consistant across your setting.

CONTROLL OF ERROR
A way of providing instant feedback. Every Montessori activity provides the child with some way of assessing his own
progress. This puts the control in the hands of the child and protects the child’s self-esteem and self-motivation. Control of error is an essential aspect of auto-education.
- Card type materials i.e. pairing or classification cards can have the same mark (dot, star, etc) on the back.
- Picture and object for pairing can also have the same mark.
- Control card in terminology cards and
lifecycles and animal families acts as control of error.
